This option is perfect if you are wanting to DIY your own works but need guidance, need a step-by-step guide on how to look after your garden or want to slowly start the garden design process.
This services includes a 1-1.5hr in person onsite visit and discussion of your goals for your garden. This is presented to you in a printable PDF for your reference and an A1/A2 size concept design of your project. Consultation may include the following:
Sun map showing microclimates
Soil test and information of soil profiles in your area
Guide on how to stage works / break down of works to be completed
Cultural gardening technique notes/guide
Maintenance guide
Photographs of your site including plants, what to retain and what to remove. Images are used as a visual guide
Plant ID and cultural notes of plants on your site
Planting schedule/recommendations of plants to suit your site, soil type and goals
Mood board with colour palette, textures and inspirational ideas
Printable concept plan (Scaled A1/A2 design)
Softscape/hardscape recommendations
Local supplier recommendations
Cost $495 - $700 + gst (depending on block size, complexity/details of works and time taken to complete). Consultation document and concept design may take from 2 to 4 weeks to complete

Garden design
Our gardens are plant focused designs with functional elements such as pathways, productive garden beds, playspace and wildlife havens.
Process may include:

Main design 2D scale plan (3D upon request)
Planting schedule (ie. plants, quantities, placement)

Plant schedules/designs and procurement
Just want plants for your project? We can create a planting schedule for your needs and/or source the plants for your. We aim to get the best possible stock available and will discuss appropriate substitutes if stock if not available.
Step 1: Plant schedule/design
Onsite/in person visit to discuss your goals & ideas. As site analysis takes place to ensure site layout/aspect, soil, any challenges are considered
Planning and research to ensure suitable plants are selected
Hand or digital concept plan with plant layout and quantities is created
You will be presented with a moodpboard/plant schedule including images, detailed plant information, pot size for sourcing and quantities
The plant schedule cost $420 + gst for most projects. If you have a more complex project, alternate pricing will be provided to you.
Step 2: Plant sourcing
A quote will be presented to you with the plant quantities, sizes, pricing and delivery. A date will be arranged for delivery. Deposit of 50% quote may be required to secure plants
The final invoice will be presented to you prior to delivery
Step 3: Vivid Tones Horticulture to do plant sourcing & installation
The quote will include the same as above plus organic fertiliser, stakes/tree guards/any additional accompaniments for planting and labour
Once the quote is approved, a date for installation is scheduled and plants/materials will be ordered. Deposit of 50% quote may be required to secure plants
The final invoice will be presented to you once the work has been completed.

Softscaping
Simply need someone to install soils, mulches and/or plants? We love doing this! We can arrange the softscaping materials for you as well.
